Cookie Policy

We measure how the site is used with PostHog, an analytics service hosted in the European Union, and only if you accept. Until you answer the bar, nothing is measured in your browser and nothing is stored in it, apart from the tab history and any promotion code described in section 3.

Updated 16 October 2026~2 min read
In short
  • Nothing is measured in your browser until you answer the consent bar, and nothing is stored but the tab history of a video you are making and a promotion code you came with.
  • Accept: one PostHog cookie, a random visitor number and a masked replay.
  • Decline: nothing is measured in your browser, and only your answer is stored, besides that tab history and code.
  • A year after you answer, we ask again.
  • What the measurements hold, and for how long, is in the privacy policy.

1If you accept#

PostHog stores one cookie, ph_<project>_posthog, keeps the same numbers in your browser's local storage together with the page you first came from, the address you landed on and any campaign tags in it, adds a note that you consented, __ph_opt_in_out_<project>, and adds entries to session storage, such as ph_<project>_window_id, which last until you close the tab. Between them they hold a random visitor number, a visit number and where your first visit came from. That number recognises your browser, not your name, but it is still personal data, which is why it waits for your answer. With them we can tell that two visits came from the same browser, the errors your browser meets are reported to us, and your visit is recorded as a replay in which everything you type and every picture you upload is hidden before it leaves your browser, and on your video's own page every word on the screen is. If you start a video after accepting, your browser's visitor and session numbers go with it to our server, so that what the server records about that video joins your visit. The cookie expires a year after your answer; at your first visit after that, we remove the rest and ask again.

2If you decline#

PostHog is not started. No cookie is set, nothing is stored but your answer and what section 3 describes, the tab history and any promotion code you came with, and your browser sends PostHog nothing: no page views, no clicks, no error reports and no replay. What our server records about a video you order - that its payment page ran out unpaid, or that it was paid for, needed an answer or a photo from you, finished, failed or was refunded, was opened or downloaded, and how you heard of us or rated it if you chose to tell us - does not come from your browser; the privacy policy describes it.

3Your answer#

Whichever way you answer, one entry is stored in local storage, amovi-consent, holding your answer and the day you gave it and nothing else, so that we do not ask again on every page. If you decline, it is the only thing stored besides the tab history and the promotion code below. A year after the day it holds, it no longer counts as an answer and the bar asks again. Measured on this site, before you answer there is no cookie, no session storage and nothing in local storage but a promotion code you came with, and no request is made to PostHog. What is kept before you answer, and whatever you answer, is in the tab's own history: while you make a video, each of its screens records which screen it is and, once you send the order, the video's id, so that your browser's Back and Forward return to them. It is kept only for that and is not measured. If you came through one of our links carrying a promotion code, one entry, amovi-promo, also stays in local storage, before you answer and whatever you answer: the code and the time you came, and nothing else, so that the discount reaches your order from whichever page you start it. It is removed once an order uses the code or we can no longer accept it, and after 30 days.

4Changing your mind#

"Cookie settings" at the foot of every page opens the bar again. Declining after having accepted stops the measuring at once and removes the cookie and every PostHog entry from your browser; only your new answer stays. Before it forgets it, your browser sends its visitor number to our server once, so that any video it started stops being linked to your visit. What was already measured stays at PostHog unless you ask us to delete it; we then delete what we can trace to your browser.

5Payment#

The payment page is provided by Stripe on its own domain and may set cookies of its own, under Stripe's cookie policy.
